Cloud-Only means it’s a Non-Starter
I love the user interface, but the fact that I can’t have the option to store my notes myself means it’s a non-starter for me.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from Edward Snowden it’s that you can’t trust cloud services, and no privacy policy can stop intelligence agencies from scarfing up one’s metadata (and actual content) to track us even more.
Automattic makes WordPress which has an option for us to run our own blogs on our own servers. At the very least provide us the option to store the notes on our own WebDAV servers instead.
